Our client reached out to us to see if we can replace the old rotting decking around the swimming pool. They were looking for a company that could manage all aspects of the project at hand, from the initial assessment of the site and existing pool facilities, to the clearance of the old decking, all the way through to the new deck installation to seamless fit around the new pool layout.
All of the old waste decking, electric cables and pipes were dismantled, carefully checked and reinstalled throughout.
During our initial assessment, we recommended that the old timber frame be replaced with composite joists in order to further extend the lifespan of the new deck install. We also suggested a few design changes to allow for easier access to the pool and to help create more floorspace.
Stephen and Judy chose grey composite Millboard decking with a natural woodgrain finish. We also reinstalled the swimming pool cover including the fittings for peace of mind. Finally we finished off the install with some cedar screening trellises for privacy, enclosure and to add an element of nature into the project.
The project was finished just before the start of summer ready for Stephen and Judy to enjoy with their friends and family.
